This is why you should never high Pollard ( cut off the top and branches to encourage new growth) a tree. It creates a high risk of decay which causes new growth to be unstable and likely of structural failure. Also the decay is not observable from the ground meaning this will go unnoticed until it's to late.
A professional tree surgeon will never suggest pollarding a healthy tree under normal circumstances.

It’s a lovely picture, but with possible snow just around the corner- it’s time to consider any vulnerable / dangerous trees on your property or close to buildings. Heavy snow can easily bring down trees or branches, which can be prevented with a little tree surgery.

The RTS team take on a challenging job with a sloping garden location in Langbank.
🌲🌳 The taller trees needed taken back to previous cuts to reinstate the hedge line, providing light & air to the bushes / shrubbery below.
🪜 🪢 Preparation and planning were key here, to make sure the team were working on safe grounding and trees could be removed from site successfully and cleanly. -

Following a recent branch failure which caused damage to the property we had to remove all potentially dangerous branches and re-weighted to tree to reduce risk or further failures.
Technical rigging & traffic management had to be employed to protect traffic & public from danger while working above the carriageway. For more info, check out our facebook post. -

A wee bit of finesse on this one. This tree was dashing the shed and blocking light from the garden.
We removed some smaller limbs that were in contact with the shed and reduced the height allowing for more light and easier maintenance for the future.

Another interesting & complex project for the team- the customer had inherited an old boundary hedge that had grown through telephone lines and damaged the fence.
All was removed, for the fence to be saved and a summer house to be built at the bottom of the garden.

This lovely Cherry tree had been damaged by passing high sided vehicles.
We reduced the canopy with correct pruning cuts in order to maintain the trees appearance and remove overhang from the street in order to avoid future damage.

Before & After- What a difference, this extremely large tree was in contact with the house causing damage to slates and dampness to the walls.
Due to proximity to the house and the obstructed root zone unfortunately removal was the only viable option.

This lovely Monkey Puzzle Tree had grown too high and the clients were concerned on it’s height, it’s proximity to the house and also needed a more manageable garden.
The tree had to come down unfortunately- but the RTS team did their best to leave the garden and the other trees / shrubbery in the best possible shape.

We needed to clear a selection of bushes and trees fully to maximise the space available.

Another “before & after” pic- The winds of autumn are just around the corner and the client with this tree, too close to his (and his neighbours) fence, needed a timely solution. The Renfrewshire Tree Surgeon team were called and the tree was removed before any collateral damage to his (or his neighbours) property.
